Course Overview:

This specialised training program will be uniquely customised to your particular industry, risks and operations and equips your firefighters or emergency response teams with expertise in combating complex, high-risk fires in industrial, marine and offshore environments. The comprehensive curriculum combines theory, practical drills and simulated scenario-based training related but not limited to process plant fires, oil storage tank fires, marine vessel fires, onshore marine terminal fires, offshore oil and gas installation fires, helideck fires, structural/building fires and customized site-specific asset fires.

Training will include classroom instruction, simulation-based training, tabletop exercises and “hot” fire drills in OPITO and API-U approved training facilities such as live fire simulators and smoke rooms. It aims to enhance firefighting skills, understand tactical rescue and suppression strategies, develop advanced competencies and foster team building under pressure. Participants learn application and compliance with relevant international regulations and standards, such as those from IMO, IMCA and NFPA, etc.

Targeted at industrial facility firefighters, marine vessel crew, offshore platform personnel, emergency response teams and installation managers, this 2-day course (dependent on simulation complexity) provides participants with Certificate of Participation upon successful completion.
